鎌倉の大船フラワーセンターは、四季折々の花が咲きます。
蓮の花の名所としても知られ、種類も多く鉢植えも多数あるので、間近で鑑賞出来ます。
蓮の葉が、傘のように花に雨が当たるのを、あたかも防いでいるかのように見えました。
こういうのを日本的情緒、趣がある、風流があるというのでしょう。
外国人の方にも是非見ていただきたい情景です。
暑い夏にひと時の清涼感を味わえました。

At the Ofuna Flower Center in Kamakura, the ancient capital of Japan, flowers bloom every season. It is a famous place for lotus flowers and there are many kinds. It seemed as if the lotus leaves were preventing the flowers from raining like an umbrella.
There are many potted plants here, so you can see them in the immediate vicinity. It’s located in Kamakura city, but I think it got this name because the nearest station is Ofuna. By train, the next station is Kita-Kamakura, and there is Meigetsuin, which is famous for hydrangea, and the next station is Kamakura.
This is the venue for the Sunflower Festival in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, which is next to Tokyo. 550,000 sunflowers are in full bloom. A sunflower festival will be held in mid-August. There is also an observatory, and the view of the sunflower field that spreads all over is spectacular. The walking path is like a maze and you can enjoy it. If you go by public transportation, it’s far from the station, so you can go to the sunflower festival from the station. There is a shuttle bus, so it’s best to take that bus. It was canceled in 2020 and 2021.
